CWILL BC Fall Book Harvest
October 16, 2009 - Sheri took part in the Children's Writers
and Illustrators of BC's Fall Book Harvest at the
North Vancouver City Library, in which dozens of writers
and illustrators launched their new books, gave away
goodies, and held draws for free author/illustrator visits
to local schools.
Ridgeway Annex School
September 28, 2009 - Sheri shared her books with a large group of primary students at Ridgeway Annex School in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
The Word on the Street
September 27, 2009 - Sheri spoke to a tent full of
kids at The
Word on the Street, held on the last Sunday of September at several
locations across Canada, including downtown Vancouver's
public library.
Janice Churchill Elementary
May 12, 2009 - Sheri gave two talks to students ranging
from kindergarten to grade two at Janice Churchill Elementary
in Surrey, British Columbia, as part of the school's
literacy week.
CWILL BC Spring Book Hatching
May 2, 2009 - Sheri took part in the Children's Writers
and Illustrators of BC's Spring Book Hatching at the
Vancouver Public Library, in which more than 30 writers
and illustrators launched their new books, gave away
goodies, and held draws for two author/illustrator visits
to local schools.
R.J. Tait Elementary
February 27, 2009 - Sheri gave two talks to students
ranging from kindergarten to grade three at R.J. Tait
Elementary in Richmond, British Columbia. Sheri was
delighted to see that all of the teachers and most of
the students were dressed as their favourite literary
characters for Literacy Day. More than one Penelope
was spotted, as well as a few Paper Bag Princesses.
McKechnie Elementary
February 26, 2009 - Sheri spoke to kindergarten and
grade one students at McKechnie Elementary in Vancouver,
British Columbia.
