The third book in the Penelope series, Penelope and the Preposterous Birthday Party, will be released in March 2009. To celebrate, Sheri will be doing readings at elementary schools and libraries. Contact Sheri to find out more about arranging a visit.

Sheri will be taking part in CWILL BC's Spring Book Hatching on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the downtown branch of the Vancouver Public Library. Check the CWILL BC website closer to the date for more details.

Penelope and the Monsters was nominated for the 2006-2007 Chocolate Lily Awards and ended up winning second place. See photos of the gala awards event.

Penelope and the Monsters was shortlisted for the 2007 Blue Spruce Award, organized by the Ontario Library Association. Sheri's first book, Penelope and the Humongous Burp, was named a 2006 Blue Spruce Honour Book.

Sheri wrote a short script commissioned by Sinking Ship Productions for Roll Play, which is an interactive TV series for preschoolers, endorsed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. The series aired on Treehouse.

Sheri participated in the Off the Page program, sponsored by the Federation of BC Writers, again in 2008. Off The Page brings students and writers together, funding classroom visits in elementary and secondary schools across British Columbia.
